Ability to see patron lists in Patron Assist mode
We recently transitioned from BibCore to Discover, and one of our biggest issues has been the migration of lists. We've been trying to help patrons troubleshoot their list issues, but it's hard to do when we can't actually see the lists. Being able to see lists in patron assist is critical for our patrons.

Able to view the item Collection from the rollup columns
We know that patrons can click on the Location of an item, to see more information, including the item's collection. However, patrons are not making it that far... Staff are wondering if the item's Collection could be added to the columns in the rollup? As seen in the image. We realize it is one click either way (clicking on the location or clicking to expand the rollup) but it seems patrons like the idea of having it in the rollup...

Announcements - Permission for Content Admin
We would like to see Announcements (Premium option), which is currently under Settings > Page Customizations be part of the permissions for the Content Admin role. The person who handles our promotions for our homepage(s) would like to handle the announcements, as well (this is how it works for our website), but that would require making her a Site Admin, which is not appropriate - don't want her to be able to access all of the settings, nor does she want to see all of that. Vega - PayPal Payflow Pro integration: Comment1 Field
PayPal confirms that Vega currently passes the contents of the "Comments1" and "Comments2" field to PayPal's PayFlow Pro during the process of authorizing transactions, tokenizing the transaction, etc. The contents of the "Comments1" field are currently reflected as simply the letter "f". We would like this Comments field updated to read "Fines/Fees" so that it's more descriptive, please. The Comments2 field is fine; it contains the patron's Library Card #.

kids catalog book cover display
The kids homepage carousels force our covers into stretched and awkward sizes (see image). The adult page seems to (1) show the covers larger (2) has less space between titles and (3) adjust to their cover dimensions. The kids looks so jankity.

When entering blank query in Vega discover through the passthru search window add a splat (*) to the search
currently if the query is blank, the search will go through, but the pagination is broken, adding a splat (*) would solve this issue

Expand Content Scoping for Custom Sites/collections to include scoping by subject or material type
I'm trying to make an Accessibility Site/Catalog that focuses on our materials such as large print, braille, and audio. However, you can only use location/shelf location or collection type to as scoping parameters.
It would be lovely to be able to expand the scope to include subject headings, material types, genres, etc.

Add Harvard and Vancouver to citation options
We would like to see Harvard, Vancouver, and APA added to the available citation options. There has already been an idea submitted for APA, so adding one for Harvard and Vancouver here too.

Ask Us feature
Please provide an Ask Us feature similar to the one in the classic catalogue. Some libraries do have a contact email address listed in the library info dropdown, but others don't, and our patrons use the Ask Us feature regularly.

Community Tags
In Encore, libraries had the ability to add Community Tags. These were quite useful in searching for topics that aren't traditional LC Subject Headings. For example, on our website, we have a link to Kids Resources on various topics like "potty training" as a community tag, the LC heading is "toilet training". Or "healthy eating". We also have Award winners as tags - Caudill, Monarch, Bluestem award winners.

Logging when a customer logs into their Vega account
We would like to have some logging of when a customer signs into Vega. This would help us troubleshoot certain transactions the customer may have issues with. It would also provide counts for other types of usage reports pertaining to Vega usage.

Supported eResource vendors have added visibility in Vega Discover. We have integrated bibliographic eResources with that vendor and would like to maximize the visibility of this vendor.

Cover Art Selection for Rollups
With multiple records rolling up into one, sometimes the featured cover art visible in Vega for the entire rollup of a title is less than ideal (the image is from record with the newest copyright/publishing date). The only way to remedy this (I've been in touch with Syndetics) is to falsify the original record with an incorrect 020 or remove the 020 completely. It would be nice if libraries could a) manually force an image skip (ie choose the next image available), b) add our own generic images, or c) manually remove the image completely from a record without tampering…

(Vega Homepage) Allow Kids' Catalogs to add early language learning for specific showcases
We plan to experiment with customized code to build this feature, but it would be ideal to have the option to add a customizable text bubble at the top of specific showcases within the 'Audience Theme' set to 'Children.' This bubble could be edited by library staff. Our goal is to include early language learning prompts within each showcase category, such as 'What sound does a dog make?' under the Subject - Dogs, or 'What is your favorite bird?' under Birds. Don't allow duplicate holds on titles/items
We are having issues where the original hold placed is not being placed on our server quickly enough (We have already worked with support on this and done everything they have suggested). When the user does not receive an immediate notification that the hold has been placed, they will click the place hold button again, which results in duplicate holds. We need to have some kind of lock in place while the first API call is in progress, regardless of how long that takes, as the first hold does eventually get placed and now the customer has reserved two (or…

Ability to suppress "Send additional Text Message Notification"
Our consortium does not have the text message option for patrons, but Vega Discover has a checkbox in the patron Account section for "Send additional Text Message Notification" that we cannot remove. This is very confusing for patrons (and staff). We should have the ability to remove this text and the associated checkbox.

Hide specific Collections while keeping the Collections facet available
We would like the ability to hide some of our Collections in Vega, but still be able to display the Collections facet. Some Collections are only used by a few libraries, not the majority.
