   The ability to send a message to a selected group of patrons is planned as future functionality in LX Starter.

   Yes! It's good to see Mike's comment, as our understanding is that this was going to be an early function in LX Starter. We've been needing something like this for a while. There are several occurrences for which we'd like to send account notification emails (NOT marketing-type emails), but we've had to hack existing notices to be able to send our own text to a review file of chosen patrons. It's not pretty.
