    For MEEP Voting for 2027:
LX Admin systematically adds email addresses to suppression lists anytime an email address hard bounces or is marked as spam.

Sometimes an email address isn't actually bad or the person mistakenly marked the email spam. When this occurs, customers' need a way to control whether those email address should stay or come off the suppression list so they can continue to send emails to them.

Right now, customers have no way to control that list without manual intervention from Clarivate. They end up frustrated since they can't do it themselves and their patrons can go a long time before they start to get emails again.
    "Unblock Email" Button on Records
As a user, when an email address has been suppressed, I want to be able to remove them from the suppression list directly from their record, so that we can email them again.
When a record has a suppressed email address a "Unblock Email" button displays at top of the record(s).
Clicking "Unblock Email" button triggers modal to display and confirm the action
User can choose to close the modal by clicking "Never Mind".
User can proceed to remove email from suppression list by clicking "Confirm"
    Clicking "Confirm":
Email address is removed from suppression list
All records with email address will receive emails again (Notices and Marketing)
Hard bounce alert is dismissed from all records with that email address if it was displayed
"Unblock" button is no longer displayed
"Email address {email address} is unblocked" activity tracked on activity log.
Toast message appears: "Email Address was removed from suppression list and can be emailed again.

    Successful unblock:
Email address is no longer hard bounced or marked as spam (all records with that email address)
Email address will receive emails again
Hard bounce alert is dismissed from all records with that email address if it was displayed
"Unblock" button is hidden when the email address is no longer suppressed
Toast message appears "Email Address was removed from suppression list and can be emailed again.
"Contact email unblocked" activity tracked on activity log.
    Submitting Sign Up Form
When someone whose email is suppressed submits the newsletter sign up form, they are added to the selected segments and sent emails again (notice and marketing).
"Unblock Email" button should no longer appear on their record.
"Email address {email address} is unblocked" activity tracked on activity log.
    Updating Patron Contact Method manually:
When a user changes a patron's contact method to "Email", the patron email address is removed from suppression list
"Unblock Email" button should no longer appear on their record.
"Email address {email address} is unblocked" activity tracked on activity log.

    For MEEP voting for 2027:
    Current State
Users set up the LX Starter templates and it pulls the Patron First name from the ‘n’ field or their legal first name.
Libraries would like a choice around which merge tag to use so that that they can use ‘preferred’ name if they would like.

    Functional Workflow
As a user, when I create or update templates in LX Starter I would like to be able to select separate merge tags for Patron’s preferred or legal name; when connected to either Sierra or Polaris.

In the event the preferred name is not available template will default to ‘LegalFullName’ or the ‘n’ field.

    Result
Patron receives a notice where they can see their ‘preferred name’.

For MEEP voting for LX Starter for 2027:
    Feature Summary
Material types like DVDs and Blu-Rays typically do not use an ISBN number and use a UPC instead. Currently, we're only using ISBN to pull the cover art from Syndetics.
This means that there are material types that won't display cover art in notices which leads to less attractive notices.
    Functional Requirements
Prefer ISBN for cover art searches with Syndetics, but utilize UPC as a secondary search index in case there is no ISBN or no ISBN match within the notice data or API call(s)
Cover art displays for materials on notices that do not have an ISBN, but do have a matching UPC for Syndetics cover art
