I 2nd Michael's comment. We use this feature all the time in the client and what he stated is exactly what we use it for and it used quite frequently. Hopefully this is getting put in the 8.0 upgrade as 7.8 doesn't have it. I don't want all of my staff creating record sets just to bring a list of items out to the stacks.

I agree with this also. We should be able to manipulate what goes out to our patrons via SMS as well. Currently, in Polaris you can edit the strings in the language editor to say what you would like it to say and it's hard to get variables to work as well. This is going to be crucial going forward since most carriers if not all have done away with Email to SMS notifications.

Just to set expectations, our strategy at this time is for users to access reports through the SSRS portal. As Eleanor mentioned in her comment, we are adding customizable menu options to Leap in 7.5 with the intent that they be used to link users to the reporting interface.

Making this as simple as possible for our staff is critical. We use those reports in the staff client everyday. We're currently on 7.5 and upgrading to 7.8 in August. To hear that it's not still apart of LEAP in concerning. I'm sure we're not the only library using those on a daily basis. I'm hoping this will be added in the immediately near future.

Definitely a Due Date column would be helpful. We don't really use the Volume and Record Status columns when searching for item records with the find tool.

I definitely would like to see a "Due Date" column available in the find tool when to display in the field of view for patron, bib, item records.

All of our staff was so use to be able to have a sort option in the staff client and since we've migrated our staff over LEAP there have been a lot of complaints. Why wouldn't LEAP be upgrade from the staff client instead of downgrade? We would like the same sorting options that we had in the staff client in LEAP as well.
