This issue is resulting in patrons becoming unable to receive email notices about their library accounts. Patrons rely on these emails to pick up their hold items within the allowed time. They do not use text messaging and do not want to receive robocall notifications. If a patron does not receive notification that their hold item has arrived, it results in extra staff work trying to contact them by other means. It also delays efficient circulation of in-demand items. It is critical that those items continue moving through our system without extended delays sitting on a hold shelf.
