Account Portal Showcase based on History
The 'Your Next Read' showcase in the customer Account Portal should pull from the customer's History (reading and/or checkout) instead of pulling from Bookmarks and saved searches. Not too many of our customers use either bookmarks or saved searches, but most opt in for saving reading history. Pulling from history would provide a much better service to customers IMHO.

Serials volume record notification
Patrons are hoping to be notified on Vega when new issues of physical magazines they are interested in are added to the system. This would mean when a new volume record is added for a magazine, the patron would be notified on their account, similar to how they are notified about new issues of e-magazines on Overdrive. It could be done on an opt-in basis.

unclaimed holds
Currently, patrons cannot view their unclaimed or expired holds on Vega Discover, as they completely disappear from view once the pickup window passes. We would like to request an enhancement that allows patrons to see these unclaimed holds in their account history, clearly marked as "Unclaimed" or "Expired," so they can track what happened to their holds without needing to contact the library desk.

Patron registration for Sierra libraries: option to include additional fields to registration process
In a recent demo (July 2026) we saw that Polaris libraries can configure additional patron variable/fixed fields to display OR hide in the registration process. This would benefit Sierra libraries as well.
We are used to adding online registrations with a template of various fields that are not included in the current registration.

Patron Registration zipcode recommend cities
Patron Registration - patron enters their postcode / zipcode, then Vega displays the associated cities/suburbs based upon that postcode that can be selected.
This option is available in both LEAP and PAC Registration page. It will prevent errors in our patron address data.

Give Libraries the ability to configure whether patrons can add a second email address or telephone number to their account
When a patron adds a second email address or telephone number in Vega Discover, it is stored in a separate field in the Sierra patron record. This can be misleading because Sierra notices are sent only to the first email address or telephone number on the record. Any additional email addresses or telephone numbers are ignored for notices.
Until Sierra notices support sending to multiple email or telephone fields, we want patrons to be able to update their existing email address or telephone number, but not add a second one.

Add LitText to the Literary Form facet
Expand the Literary Form Facet to Include Audiobooks with LitText Coding I am requesting an enhancement to add LitText to the Literary Form facet, as audio materials are currently not represented. Audio materials that contain Literary Text (LitText) coding should be included in the Literary Form facet to provide a complete and consistent discovery experience. Including these titles would improve patron access by allowing users to accurately filter and find fiction and nonfiction audiobooks that match their interests, while also supporting reader's advisory efforts and reducing staff time spent locating materials manually. Currently, the exclusion of audio materials results in…

configure Discover to parse Sierra patron addresses correctly
Discover does not parse Sierra addresses correctly.
1) New Discover registrations do not parse correctly in Sierra.
2) Existing registrations in Sierra do not parse correctly in Discover. This was the comment by Innovative Staff on this topic:
Discover does have difficulty with parsing Sierra patron addresses, and this is not changing in the July release. For libraries who do allow patrons to edit their own home address, making Discover parse and edit Sierra patron addresses better would require development.3 votes -
Manage hold options should be visible in holds list without selecting a drop down menu
Library users want to be able to see a "freeze" and a "cancel" button when working with individual holds. The original idea for this topic was closed after the July 2026 upgrade, but the behaviour has not changed. I have attached an image.
Also, library users do not want to select drop down menus to manage their individual holds. The ability to freeze, cancel, or edit pickup location should be individual selections.

on shelf at location.multi : bib locations should be mapped to bib records
We have 39 branches. Our magazines are fixed to one location. In Encore, the bib location mapped to the bib record so that library users knew where the magazines were located. Now, we just see the message: "on shelf at location.multi". This behaviour is not what customers want. They want to see the specific branch locations.
I have attached an example below.

validate new patron accounts with email or text
New self registering patrons should be put through a validation process using either email or text. This would reduce bot access and also duplicated records if the matchpoint for either contact method is found.

Registration- prevent current users from creating new registration
Patrons who have forgotten their library card number or misplaced their card will create a new account. Others use the same process to create duplicae records to get around limits in OverDrive, Hoopla and Kanopy.
A duplicate check on key fields could help to limit access to additional records. Until a better solution can be coded, it could simply inform the patron that a record already exist with these credentials, please contact your public library.

User Management page within Vega Discover admin and LX Starter admin should offer the same functionality
iii Support referred me to the User Management page within LX Starter module settings in order to access the "Send Password Reset" link functionality for a staff user. This same functionality (Actions > Send Password Reset) should be available within the Vega Discover settings / User Management page, rather than having to switch modules to accomplish this.

Allow Collection Site Admins to Give Their Staff Patron Assist Permissions from User Roles
Site Admins at the collection site level should be allowed to grant/edit/remove Patron Assist permissions to their staff instead of at the Main Site Admin level.
Within a large consortium it could take hours to grant the Patron Assist permissions to all accounts. Plus, Collection Site Admins should have the ability to customize their staff as needed without consortia oversight.

Patron Registration form / workflow: allow custom password parameters and selection of home branch
A couple issues with the new Patron Registration form / workflow:
1) we'd like to have control of patrons' ability to set up their PIN directly within the form (we use PINs rather than passwords). As a library system, we currently require a 4-digit numeric PIN, and rolling out the Vega Patron Registration form — that emails patrons with a link to set up a password — would set us up for problems down the road, where patrons are selecting passwords that are outside of the allowed 4-digit numeric PINs.
2) We'd like patrons to be able to select their…

Include Preferred Notifcation in Patron Assist Account
A common question patrons ask when holds are placed it how they will be notified when it comes in. It would be great if Patron Assist showed their preferred notification method from the main account page. You can see it if you go to "edit" and scroll to the bottom, but it would be nice to have it easily seen at a glance instead of having to hunt for it.

Keep Existing Kiosk Homepage Configuration When Upgrading to Vega Premium
This seems to be more of a bug than a feature, but if you are a Basic customer and upgrade to Premium, the one home page you've configured, which also appears on your kiosks, is removed and must be reconfigured individually for each kiosk site (as well as collection sites).
While the documentation -https://knowledge.ag-software.clarivate.com/vega-discover/admin/ConfigureHomepage.htm - states, "Vega Discover customers can configure one home page, which also appears on your kiosks. Your home page can contain a maximum of five rows of content. If you have Vega Discover Premium or if your library belongs to a consortium, you can configure…

cookies
The managing cookie prompt needs to change ASAP. There are 2 main issues with the current prompt: 1) The entire screen is grayed out until you acknowledge the cookie prompt (something I know others have posted about) which means patrons and even staff who don't realize you need to x out of it or manage your preference get confused about why nothing is working. 2) It doesn't save your preference at all so if you close the tab/window or even log into an account you get the same cookie prompt again and again, something other sites don't do, which seems…
