Allow us to view all of the books in a series from the item record
Currently, when you go into the item record for a book there is so much useless information yet trying to simply see all the books in that series isn't listed. There is an option for related resources which is library jargon to patrons and isn't the same as simply having a display of other books in this series to make it easier for patrons.
Also, instead of just telling me (unreliably) if a book is part of a series, it should tell people what number a book is in the series. Doing detective work to figure out if a book…1 vote -
Displaying movie info
Movies need to have clearer display of the actors, director, etc. when you go into the item record. Some movies have been remade and I currently have a lot of trouble locating the right movie for my patron when they tell me the year it was made and I can't even find that in the item record because it only tells me when that disc edition was made not when the movie itself was first made. I'll also get patrons who give me a title where there are several movies with that title and I currently can't even find a…

Editing how the showcases look
There should be different view options for showcases so I can pick an option that doesn't display the books in the current way where the covers are just oddly large and take up the entire screen so you don't even know if there's another showcase underneath. Currently, it just looks disproportionate to the overall site and being able to make a different view where maybe the covers are smaller or you can opt to have call number info displayed would be nice.

Applying facet selections
Currently, when you click on filters in the facets, you have the scroll all the way down to the last facet to finally get to the apply button. This is recent since before the apply button would move relative to where you were on the facet list. Either fix where the apply button is or simply apply the facets when they're selected, needing to click "apply" can be confusing for patrons when our old catalog would simply apply the filters once you selected them

Change the website title of Passcode Reset webpage in Vega
To avoid potential patron confusion the ability to change the Vega website title from Welcome to Vega to something specific to your library when opening the Forgot My Passcode link would be helpful. For example, it might read "Library Name/Abbreviation Passcode Reset," which should eliminate any doubts about the nature of the webpage.

Support custom Header and Footer code on the 404 (page not found page)
We would like any custom header and footer code to be active/enabled on the 404 page. This would add a seamless user experience no matter where the patron ends up on the website.

Editing eMaterial Vendor Information
Sometimes patrons can be confused concerning eMaterials not displaying the app that they receive the materials on. Being able to edit the vendor name under Edition Information (Additional Information in our case) would be helpful in mitigating that confusion.

holds
Our customers have asked for the ability to suspend a hold to a future date rather than "Freeze" and "unfreeze". They don't want to check back after vacation to unfreeze all their holds, they just want to choose a future date.

Showcase Display
We would like more automated showcase displays like the NYT Bestsellers. Since we are in Canada, we specifically would like to see the Globe & Mail Bestsellers as an option.

Ability to suppress English (US)
In the Localization settings configuration page, all languages listed can be selected or unselected except for English (US). Although we can make a different one the default, for those countries wanting to have a different English option (CA in our case), we have no option but having two English languages listed in the drop down menu. We would like to be able to suppress the English (US) option.

Showcase metadata and management
We have a number of different staff creating and updating Showcases across our system. Currently, it is getting difficult to manage this as staff are beginning to duplicate each other's work and it is difficult to know which showcases are current and which are scheduled or embedded somewhere. When adding Showcases to Vega Homepage, it is impossible to distinguish between two showcases with the same name since no details display other than the title in the home page editor.
Please consider adding some features to improve showcase maintenance and management:
ability to add a staff note to a showcase which…

Filter by Location Limits Updates the Roll-Up Results
When a patron applies a location filter to Discover search results, the edition and items are limited to the location(s) selected.
The roll-up tabs are updated to remove items and editions at other locations.
The filtering is passed to Vega Mobile so the filtering experience matches.

Allow us to choose the display order in Vega when there are linked 880 fields
When looking at records in our catalog that have non-Roman vernacular script included in the 880 fields, it does not appear in the order in which it would best serve our patrons. I have included screenshots to illustrate how we purposely have the original language/vernacular script displaying in the 245 field so that it displays in the Title in brief results lists, and on the receipt and notices when patrons check items out for optimal patron service. However, despite our efforts, the transliteration is appearing foremost in search results in Vega instead of the original language/vernacular script, which is not…

Tonie/Tonies: improve "All" search results for these terms
For "All" search for Tonie or Tonies, improve the search functionality such that Tonies records appear at the top of the search results.
Currently, "All" searches for Tonies or Tonie put results related to the word Tony (in title, author, etc.) at the top of the search results. This is making it difficult for patrons to discover the records for our very popular Tonie characters. I understand from customer support that the term Tonies is currently been treated as a variation of the name 'Tony' in Vega, which is why searches with the most relevancy for 'Tony' are returned when…

Maintain authentication across collection sites
A patron that has signed in on the main Vega site or any collection site should remain signed in when linking to another collection site (unless the library has specifically limited sign in to an individual site). Currently, when an authenticated patron clicks to view another collection site, they lose their authentication. Patrons are not aware that they are on a completely separate site and are then confused when clicking on "My Bookshelf" does nothing. If they click on their account at the top of the page, they are prompted to sign and and are then authenticated without having to…

Don't use Serials Holdings Records (SHRs) as an indication of of availability
Items that have zero item records but have Polaris SHRs on "Not currently Received " status show that they are "on shelf" at the branches with the SHRs even though there are no items at any of the branches. This had lead to patrons coming in looking for standing orders/ serial titles etc. that are not there.
