  1. Could you make it so you can put an end time in the end time field when you're entering an event? Or at least make more options than a four hour limit? Putting in custom minutes for events that are longer than that isn't very appealing. Thanks for considering!

  2. Patrons receive a confirmation that includes a " Manage Booking" box. One of our challenges is that we don't know when a patron has checked in to the room, or if they leave the room early.

    Right now, patrons don't have to stop by the desk before or after their reservation. And, if patrons leave early without telling us we can't modify the reservation to free up space for another person. In the new VEGA system could a check - in and check - out button be added to the patron's reservation confirmation?

  3. Would it be possible to put in a time range for a reservation using the availability bar? Rather than clicking it to pick your start time, then choosing the end time via drop down, is there a way to click through the time blocks to mark your end time as well? Also related, is there a way to make the availability bars visible when you're booking multiple events?

  4. In addition to adding a phone number field to the patron registration forms (which has already been suggested) I'd like to ask if the required "Age" field that appears could be a dropdown to represent age groups instead of typing a year. We have it created now as a custom question but it would be nice to not have to add it every time.

I know it's a long shot, but it would be incredibly helpful if there was a way to send a reminder email if program attendance hasn't been entered by a certain time period (i.e. a week after the program occurred), as staff often forget to enter attendance after events and we spend a lot of time trying to track down these errant stats.

  6. When a patron cancels an room booking, ideally an email notification immediately goes out to the ROOM PERSON EMAIL for that room. This way staff know immediately that the room is cancelled.
    This helps because we use a setup sheet at the beginning of each day to plan what furniture and equipment needs to be setup at the beginning of the day. Obviously, different setup is done at different times during the day, too, for multiple room bookings during the day.

  7. Is there a way that staff who are creating events can preview the event to see what everything looks like before submitting? Currently it seems like you can do this after an event is submitted (prior to publishing) but not when it's a draft.

  8. Set "Relevance" as the Default Search Option. Currently, the default search is set to "date," which often results in events being displayed that don't match the search keyword(s). Switching the default to "relevance" gives more accurate and meaningful search results.

    Sort by Relevance results should be sorted by date. When the search is set to "relevance," the results are not sorted chronologically, which shows the events out of order.

  9. Our workflow is this: librarians create events. Managers approve events. Admins publish the events. The problem lies in the approval process: Everything that's approved/ready to post goes to one big list. We host hundreds of events, so if we could filter by manager or building, that would be a huge enhancement. Another shortcoming is that the Admins have no way of knowing if the managers have approved their events. A three-step process for (1) creating; (2) approving (with a checkmark or something); and (3) publishing events would also be an enormous improvement.

  20. It would be great if the brochures could be customized. Right now, it's more confusing to use them so we don't, and it's a miss opportunity.

    1. Only programs with registration include "Bookings Required" text, but others don't say that they're drop in. Also, for "Bookings Required", patrons have no way of knowing whether the program is drop in, register online, or register by phone. Registration information would be ideal.

    2. Including tags is confusing on the patron end because they all get cut off. It would be ideal to have the option to remove the tags from the public brochures.
