  1. In addition to the age limits for Program Registration, it would be helpful to be able to limit by grade.
    While age is a useful limit for early learning programs, many school age programs are limited by grade range. The option to select limit by grade, and then define the grades that can register, would help libraries when determining who can register for a program. Currently, libraries have to determine the age for the program based on the school registration birthday cut off, and that may not accurately reflect who is eligible to register.   2. Could you make it so you can put an end time in the end time field when you're entering an event? Or at least make more options than a four hour limit? Putting in custom minutes for events that are longer than that isn't very appealing. Thanks for considering!

  3. We need a way to block problem patrons from being able to reserve rooms. It can either be a blacklist where we add the patron barcode or have Vega Program look at the MBlock in Sierra or the Polaris equivalent and deny that way.

  4. Several libraries in our consortium have multiple study rooms. They want to limit patrons to a single 'study room' booking across all of their study rooms for a given time period (e.g. Jane Doe can only book a single study room each day, but the next day she can book a room again, etc.).

    Currently, they can limit bookings for an individual room, but the patron can just sign up for another room later that day (and go through them all in turn). I guess staff can monitor and delete duplicate bookings, and dedicated patrons will undoubtedly find other workarounds.

  5. Currently in the list view of upcoming Events, you see "Fully Booked", but it is not clear whether the waiting list is still open. The user would need to select the event and scroll down to see "it's not currently possible to join the waiting list".
    To avoid extra clicks and scrolling, it would be good to add "Registration Closed" to the list view.

I know it's a long shot, but it would be incredibly helpful if there was a way to send a reminder email if program attendance hasn't been entered by a certain time period (i.e. a week after the program occurred), as staff often forget to enter attendance after events and we spend a lot of time trying to track down these errant stats.

  8. It would be really nice if Vega Program would prevent a patron from registering for multiple events occurring at the same time, since they cannot possibly attend more than one at a time. An alert - via email, text (when available), or pop-up that either 1) the registration cannot be completed because they are registered for another event or 2) offer to cancel their existing registration and complete the current one.

  9. Our workflow is this: librarians create events. Managers approve events. Admins publish the events. The problem lies in the approval process: Everything that's approved/ready to post goes to one big list. We host hundreds of events, so if we could filter by manager or building, that would be a huge enhancement. Another shortcoming is that the Admins have no way of knowing if the managers have approved their events. A three-step process for (1) creating; (2) approving (with a checkmark or something); and (3) publishing events would also be an enormous improvement.

  11. Saving a draft should block the room, which allows staff to be more efficient. They won't need to delete or unpublish public/private events to prevent the room from being booked.

    This is important when 100+ events are happening in a single month.

  13. When a patron cancels an room booking, ideally an email notification immediately goes out to the ROOM PERSON EMAIL for that room. This way staff know immediately that the room is cancelled.
    This helps because we use a setup sheet at the beginning of each day to plan what furniture and equipment needs to be setup at the beginning of the day. Obviously, different setup is done at different times during the day, too, for multiple room bookings during the day.

  14. This is more of a question, but is there a way that you can generate an iCAL link or something similar so that you can add groups of events in a particular category to your Google Calendar? I know there's the option to do this individually for each event, but I was curious if there were bulk options. Thanks!

In addition to adding a phone number field to the patron registration forms (which has already been suggested) I'd like to ask if the required "Age" field that appears could be a dropdown to represent age groups instead of typing a year. We have it created now as a custom question but it would be nice to not have to add it every time.

  20. Set "Relevance" as the Default Search Option. Currently, the default search is set to "date," which often results in events being displayed that don't match the search keyword(s). Switching the default to "relevance" gives more accurate and meaningful search results.

    Sort by Relevance results should be sorted by date. When the search is set to "relevance," the results are not sorted chronologically, which shows the events out of order.
