Home branch and Hold Limited to Pickup at are not part of 852/949 Embedded holdings field/MARC subfield mapping in import profiles, so we normally use the item template associated with the import profile to load the missing fields. Make Ability to Replace Bib Records Permission Based
Currently everyone with the bib modify permission can Replace (merge/overlay) bib records. However, in a consortium, our libraries staff have different cataloging expertise so we would like to limit the people who can Replace.
We would like to request that the ability to Replace (merge/overlay) bib records be made permission based so that we can assign that permission only to staff who should be able to overlay records.

Exclude from Bulk Add to PO report warning on other libraries 970s if setting to Filter branches in line-item is on
To prevent 970s for other libraries in the consortia from being added to the PO, we turned on the Filter branches in line-item segments setting in admin. However, when we Bulk Add record set to PO, the report shows in yellow even if the 970s for the other libraries is the only "issue" and our libraries still have to go through the report even though they don't need to do anything about it in case there is another issue like duplicates or missing fields etc. that they need to do something about. Clerk Codes for Circulation Staff
It would be nice to have Clerk codes for Circulation Staff to enter to perform patron transactions. Once the transaction clears, the system resets and is ready for the next clerk code. This would alleviate the need for each staff member to have their own Polaris login and more importantly help identify staff that may need more training. It would also keep staff from piggybacking off another staff member's login. We would be happy if this was an option that could be turned on and left off for those libraries that do not desire it.

Leap Patron Import - there should be a log accessible when an import fails.
In Leap, under Background Processing > Patron Import, if the import fails, no log is accessible as to why it failed. It would be helpful if on clicking the import job it would show you some sort of output as to what went wrong.

Remove the dashed line around library card in Express Check
The dashed line around the library card exists regardless of the size of the image. Please remove the dashed line aroound the library card image. I'm running 8.0 and was told by support that all sites have display the dashed line.

Ability to choose multiple Collections for an item
Sometimes one collection assignment isn't enough. For example, we have libraries who would like to be able to choose both Young Adult Graphic Novel Fiction AND Manga ; Sci Fi/Fantasy Fiction AND Adult Fiction, etc. etc.

Re-index from Record Set
We would like Re-index to be added as a possible action from a bib (or auth) record set.
As was mentioned in this archived ticket (https://ideas.iii.com/forums/951742-ils-polaris/suggestions/47422874-ability-to-perform-a-full-re-index-on-a-set-of-bib), sometimes back-end changes are necessary and require the records to be indexed.
Another use case is when adding a tag to the Keyword search index. A library may have a subset of records with that tag that now need to be re-indexed. Rather than have to make a fake edit and add an updated modification date OR have Clarivate to a costly and time consuming index of the entire catalogue, we should…9 votes -
Remain on current bib after refreshing Compare Tool
When you have several bibs to compare and have moved from the first one to a subsequent one and made changes, hitting the refresh button moves you back to the first bib for comparison. It would be helpful to stay with the bib you had open most recently on the compare side.

Retain record set filter after removing a record
Currently when you use the filter field to narrow down the records in a record set, your filter is lost if you select and remove one of the records. It would be helpful to retain the filter.

Place hold on bib from find tool or record set
It would be useful to be able to select a bib record from a record set or from Find Tool results and place a hold from there. Possibly add this function to the More Actions menu.

Clearer indication of errors in background processing
In Bulk Change and Import, the process can complete even if individual records could not be updated (because they are locked or for some other reason). It would be helpful if the errors were made more obvious upon completion of the process, possibly through adding a column to the Background Processing table to indicate how many records were not successfully modified. This would indicate to staff that they need to open the report to find the issues. Even better would be a succinct error report.

More customization for Leap Check In screen
We are a large consortium with over 40 branches. Each one prefers their check-in screen a little differently. Some would like to see less information on the check-in screen while others would like to see more. And some would like to remove some columns and add different ones. Can we have more customization on the admin side so we can add/remove fields for libraries when asked? Right now we can only choose from the given list: Title, Material Type, Shelf Location, Call Number, Patron Name, Assigned Branch, Collection. Some libraries would like to see the Loan Period Code... specifically.

Improve LEAP's Find Tool - Record Set management options: Quick Delete & Merge
It would be nice to add a function where you can merge multiple record sets when using the Find Tool-Record Set without having to manually go into the record set and copy records over.
Similarly, the ability to click the check boxes for multiple record sets and delete them from the results page without having to enter each individually would speed the clean up process after projects are complete.

Allow library to exclude certain material types from Claim Return function
Polaris' claim return function is great for locally-owned items but is problematic with INN-Reach. We are constantly reminding staff NOT to use Claim Return for INN-Reach items because it can break transaction links but they continue to do so. If system admin allowed us to exclude our INN-Reach and WorldCat material types from Claim Return and Claim Missing Part functions, it would reduce errors significantly.

Print Holds Slips in Scanning Order During Bulk Check-In
When using Leap to process carts of new items, we need to both reassign items to different branches and print hold slips in the order the items are scanned. Currently, neither workflow works as needed. Saving an item record set causes Leap to reorder the records by title, and exporting the record set reorders them by control number. In addition, when an Excel file is used for Bulk Check In, Leap prints the hold slips in control-number order rather than scan order. This makes it very difficult to match the printed slips to the physical items on the cart.

Add confirmation when cancelling a patron registration
When adding a new patron in Leap, you have Save and Cancel options. It would be helpful if there was a confirmation before the form closes when hitting Cancel if there is data in the form. Several times, staff have accidentally closed the form they just completed when trying to hit Save. It's not the end of the world, but it's inconvenient.

Embedded slideshow options
It would be nice to have options to change the background color or text color of embedded slideshows. Our library's website is dark (we are unable to change it due to city marketing guidelines) so when we embedded a slideshow, it was very difficult to read.

Allow hold-reset when checking an item in damaged
We often discover that an item is missing or damaged when placing the hold slip to put it on the hold shelf. When that happens, it would be really helpful if we could check it in in damaged mode from held status and be able to reset the hold for the patron. Ideally, there would be a damaged and a missing parts check-in for unattached items (without a last borrower) where we can just remove that barcode from circulation and reset the hold for the patron in one action.

"Undo" check ins/outs and other functions
It would be very helpful to have an "undo" button for more functions in Leap. Particularly for when you accidentally check something in/out.
