  1. Please combine the items and the statistics on the bib record into one section so that we can see circ stats and item status without having to click multiple areas. We need this data to help us determine whether an item should be transferred from another branch, repaired, or replaced. Attached is how it looks in Staff Client, and it would be great if we could see this view in LEAP.

  2. In the Item reports, some general filters categories, such as Stat Code, have a Not Present option. This allows staff to report by Collection Code or Material Type and exclude unwanted Stat Codes. It would be helpful to have the same option to exclude Shelf Locations.

  3. I don't know if this is already planned for a future version; I didn't see it on the current roadmap, though. It's really important for cataloguers that they be able to save a bib record without having to make a change first, particularly for provisional bib records. The only way to make a provisional record become final is to resave it, and currently, Leap requires you to make a change in any bib record before saving it. I know the duplicate detection without saving is now available, and that's a great feature - but allowing at least provisional bib records…

  4. Currently, the only way to view pending holds for pickup at other libraries in Request Manager is in the Polaris Client. We would like this brought over to Leap. This idea would make the Request Manager in Leap and the client equal in terms of capabilities.

  5. It would be wonderful to be able to customize keyboard shortcuts per user.

    I don't typically use 90% of Polaris features, and the other 10% I use very frequently, and most of those features don't have any hotkeys associated with them.

  6. We would like to be able to share the reports we save in My Reports in Simply Reports. That way multiple people have the ability to run a report with the exact same parameters without having to share the very long list of parameters.

  7. When checking out in LEAP, staff would like it to be more obvious when a patron has blocks on their account. Especially when the blocks would stop the patron from checking out items. Currently, from the patron checkout page, there is a small padlock and "BLOCKS" in red text, which is too subtle for some staff.

    This can be inconvenient for staff and the patron because they scan several items only to realize the patron is blocked after scanning all the items.

  8. Add a Transmission Method of 'E-Mail' when creating an invoice. The current options are Paper, Fax, and Electronic. Many vendors now send invoices by E-Mail, not the US Postal Service. Invoices created by EDI transmissions are tagged as 'Electronic' as they should be, even if the vendor emails the invoice to us. What I would like to do is be able to identify an invoice that was emailed to us by a non-EDI vendor. I know it's technically a paper invoice once I print it; but it was received by email and should be identified as such.

  9. Please make it possible for offline Leap to display the patron name when their barcode is scanned for an offline checkout. This is available in toolbar offline, and I'm sure it would be tricky to configure, since Leap is browser-based, but we just used Leap offline for the first time during our latest upgrade, and the biggest comment I've received is the lack of the patron name during checkout.

  11. We have found it hard to work with the Current and Recent workfrom menu when working with lots of Patron Records, or more commonly, Duplicate Patron Records.

    Names work, but when names are similar or the same it can be hard to figure out which records are which.
    Sometimes staff are working with Barcodes as a reference vs. patron names.

    It would be nice to have a subtext under the Patrons name in the Current and Recent workform list that shows the last 4 digits or the full barcode underneath the patron name.

  13. Currently, if I want to add series information for a book in the item record when I link it, I would need to put it in the volume field. It'd be nice if there was an easy way to indicate if a book is part of a series and where it falls in the series without it creating a super long call number.   14. Although there are current options for purging patron IDs from circ transactions, and deleting account transactions, there are some gaps with removing PII (personally identifiable information) we'd like to see addressed.

    We'd like the option to purge patron IDs from non-circ transactions (incl. patron account history and record history).   15. Could we have it so the close button within the Patron Registration follows you as you scroll down like the "Save", "Renew", etc do? I often find myself nowhere near the top when I am done with a customer account and have to navigate all the way back up just to close the record. I could see this also being useful in Bib records

  16. If staff attempt to check out an item with an "unexpected" status, such as Withdrawn, Unavailable, or Missing the checkout fails, with an error message "unexpected item status." Staff must check the item in to change its status to Available, and then check it out. This breaks the flow of the checkout transactions and causes a delay for the patron.   17. A recent change to PAPI allows for the retrieval of, and adding to, different types of records sets, including Patrons, Bibs, and Items. Adding to Patron and Bib records sets is straight forward because there are existing endpoints within PAPI that return BibRecordID and PatronRecordID numbers. This isn't the case with Item record sets because there a currently no endpoints that provide an item's RecordID. This enhancement would add the ItemRecordID to each row in the BibHoldingsGet response.

  18. The Language field was added to Polaris in 7.4 (I believe). The only way to update the Language field is to manually update each item record manually. As you can imagine, that is very time-consuming. It would be ideal if our Collection Management department could pull the appropriate item records into a record set and then do a batch update of the Language field.

  20. Our ILL clerk would like to be able to see the due date for ILLs from the request manager, so she can make sure that the dates have been added correctly to these items. She currently has to go into each item individually to make sure they were correct.
