  1. Allow for clearing of defunct holds in Mobile Worklists. This task involves removing select materials from hold shelves, so it would be useful to have the clearing process and the resulting list of items to be removed in digital format.

  2. We're currently piloting the recently introduced Reference Log feature in Mobile Worklists to see if we can integrate its use into our metrics collection.

We do multiple periods of statistics gathering each year for two weeks at a time. The Reference Log mode requires the entry of a date range when you export the number of reference transactions tied to a login.

If your start & end date are the same (for example 9/8/26 - 9/8/26) you see only the stats for that day. The totals are listed by category.

If your start & end date cover a range (for…

  3. We're about to begin a pilot project where we've got staff at a few of our branches using Mobile Worklists' new Reference Log feature. This looks like a very useful addition to the app out the gate, but we would like to see its potential increased by making it work better with Gimlet, the desk stats software we use at CHPL.

One way it could work better would be through the inclusion of tags that could be applied with each category type.

For example, + one reference interaction in the Directional Assistance category & add the tag for #ASLassistance. +…

  4. As displayed, the transaction category types in Reference Log mode include Information Referral, Unscheduled Reference Instruction, Assist in Using Information/Resources, & Directional Assistance.

While these seem to cover the necessary bases, we would appreciate the ability to relabel them to match local naming conventions.

It would also be useful to be able to add additional categories &/or combine counts. For example, Directional Assistance + Telephone, Chat/Email, In Person.

  5. While working with the newly available Reference Log function, I noticed that when the mode is launched & you begin recording reference transactions, the date is displayed as MM-DD-YYYY.

However, when exporting transactions, it's formatted as DD-MM-YYYY. This is a little confusing.

We would like to see this made configurable at the local library level, so the staff member's experience is consistent throughout their workflow.

  6. Working with the new Reference Log mode, I noticed that while you open that function & begin recording reference transactions, the date at the top of the screen is displayed as MM-DD-YYYY. However, when you perform an export, the dates display as DD-MM-YYYY.

We would like to see this made configurable by the library/user, so it can appear consistently throughout the staff member's workflow.

  7. Currently, Vega Mobile Worklists operates independently of the Applications configured in the Sierra Admin App. At this time, users only need the appropriate Sierra permissions for the functions they will be using within Vega Mobile Worklists.

As a site that wants to require staff to use a dedicated library device for Mobile Worklists, we'd like to limit access to it by only assigning select staff users the Mobile Worklists App Application.

  8. As a Sierra library we frequently use the OPACMSG field of our item records to indicate if the item is new, part of a lucky day collection, or if an item collection is shelved in a specific area (series or holiday shelf). This works well now that our entire collection floats between our 10 branch locations allowing for a more unified shelving experience for our patrons between locations.

It would be helpful to our staff if the OPACMSG displayed on the initial Title Paging List of Mobile Worklists. Currently staff can see this only if they click on the item…

  9. I would like to have the ability to push lists out to specific logins. We regularly run system-wide lists for things like MISSING or STAFF SEARCH items that need to be looked for at locations. Sometimes these lists need to be customized for the location (ie. they only need to look for items owned by them from the system list of MISSING items). It would be fantastic to be able to do all of the required searching/limiting centrally and push the list to the appropriate log in.

I had a use case for this yesterday. I created a list for…

  10. I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile for the sake of a better distinction between the two to rename Vega Mobile Worklists as Vega Worklists?

I've noticed this at IUG & elsewhere, where discussions of the staff facing app & patron facing app are sometimes paired together & sometimes not. Sometimes under the same "Vega Mobile" umbrella & sometime not.

It's a minor source of confusion, but since we're only using one of the two products, it would be nice to see a better distinction.

  11. An enhancement to provide an option to remove or hide the Linked Account label/button for specialized libraries that do not use this functionality.

Allowing administrators to disable or hide the Linked Account function would help create a cleaner interface and improve the overall user experience.

  12. Currently, in Mobile Worklists, the check-in feature only works for checked out items. It would be helpful to also use this feature for items that are not checked out.

When we use a work list of missing items from circulating collections, this would allow us to quickly change the status from "Missing" to "Available" if an item is found in the stacks. We could just check in these items rather than update the status from the Item Detail screen.

  13. When creating a shelf list, it seems like you should be able to exclude items that are not expected to be on the shelf based on Status (ie. lost and/or billed items) or when the item is currently checked out (having a due date that isn't blank or loan rule not equal to 0).

Also, we would like to be able to filter the shelf list by ITYPE since some materials are shelved separately based on ITYPE, although they have the same location code.

We would also like to limit by OPAC Message which can also indicate a separate shelving…

  14. Right now you can only import from Sierra to a work list. Importing to a shelf list would be helpful for large serial sets. Creating a shelf list on the fly with Mobile worklists for large serial sets results in a shelf list where the volumes are out of order. Creating that list in a Sierra review file would fix that problem, then staff could send that to a shelf list to verify titles on the shelf in real time.

  16. It is time consuming to verify titles one at a time in shelflists. Being able to "select all" and then verify would save a lot of time.

  17. We would like staff to be able to take full advantage of Mobile Worklists & its potential, but in order for that to happen, we need them to be able to find & fulfill more than just the title paging list.

Someone else has created a feature request for the addition of item paging lists, but as a member library in both SearchOhio & OhioLink, we'd appreciate the inclusion of INN-Reach paging lists as well.
