An error occurred while saving the comment Miles Wagers commentedTotally agree with this! We're upgrading to 7.6 soon (from 7.4) and I'm running into the exact same thing. I like the idea of the new "declare damaged" workflow, but I don't think we're ready to move away from our current workflow at the moment. It would be so useful to be able to suppress the "declare damaged" options from both the check in window and also the patron record just to prevent items from ending up in this new circ status.

We're upgrading to 7.6 soon (from 7.4) and this is one of the things that is making me consider suggesting that our staff should not used the "declare damaged" workflow in Leap. If the items with the new "damaged" circ status could automatically be transitioned to withdrawn (very much like the lost item transition), then I would feel a lot better about the whole process.
