    This is critical for the success of our after-hours holds lockers so people can tell where they should go to pick up their materials. We have plenty of patrons who don't know where to go to get their items.

    This happens quite regularly at my library, and it not only is incredibly clunky but also produces false records when following this process. We have to mark an item as "Checked In" despite not having the item, then check it back out, just to make the claim? It's a headache all-around, and would streamline the process in so many ways to be able to just Make Claim from the start.
