At NYPL we have roughly 1.2 million patrons with a username (alternative id) value in their Sierra patron records. Username provides patrons with easy access to their accounts in lieu of having to remember or store their barcodes elsewhere.
As we finalize our transition away from our legacy WebPAC catalog, its critical that we have a means for patrons to create and use usernames for account access in Vega Discover.
