An error occurred while saving the comment Bob Gaydos commentedWe have almost the identical need - including the Admin Corner path AASOC #072 detail - except in our case we display a variable-length field from the patron record which is literally the parent or guardian name of that minor patron.
Considering how many of the notices are targeting a party who is financially responsible for borrowed items (courtesy notices, overdues, bills), the lack of a standard Parent or Guardian field in the Sierra patron record is a major oversight IMO. Since Admin Corner provides the option of designating a field to precede the patron name on notices, LX Starter should follow suit.
The current lack of this feature is likely to delay our go live with LX Starter until this feature is implemented.

We will consider this idea for possible future development. Thank you!
An error occurred while saving the comment Bob Gaydos commentedI second everything @Eric Young wrote, plus this would save me the step of manually entering these notes in patron records, which I currently do for bounces.

An error occurred while saving the comment Bob Gaydos commentedAs the ILS Administrator, I am frequently asked to verify that (usually hold pickup or overdue) notices were sent when patrons contact us to say they were not notified. Currently I can look in the mailbox of our patron.notices@starklibrary.org email user, which is both the named sender of the messages as well as the cc recipient of that same message. I can attach a copy of the original notice email in my reply to the staff member or patron who initiated the inquiry. The completeness of this response almost always ends my involvement in the matter.

Yes! Plain text should be another view tab just like the Mobile Phone view. We would definitely use this for our patrons whose notice preference is SMS text messages.
