An error occurred while saving the comment Lynn Reynish commentedGranular permissions are another minimum requirement for us to consider a vendor's product. We have very granular permissions on our setup and would not be interested in going back to only two levels.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lynn Reynish commentedI'd like to expand this idea further and say that we should be able to link out to any other catalogue or discovery layer. We've written our own but I'm aware of other customers that use Aspen Discovery or BiblioCommons. All are valid and all should be available as options when previewing records.

We would want such a feature to be toggle-able. Laws in our jurisdiction would allow this for children under 14 but minors 14 and over are allowed privacy from their parents in terms of what they check out (and they can get a library card on their own). So a blanket feature would be against the law here.
