    Seconding Lynn's comment - we're also a consortium and we have libraries on multiple different networks with multiple IT departments. We'll have staff who have one MFA account for their city network and another for their library network, so getting logged in to both is often a complicated dance requiring things to happen in the right sequence.

    Our member library staff have been requesting this for years. There have been an increasing number of reasons why staff may want to extend held dates: emergency cold weather closure, emergency hot weather closure, emergency fire weather closure, not enough healthy staff to open that day, unable to send out hold notices due to technical problems, power outage, and the list goes on. In our system, staff have to extend held dates manually probably every other month so this feature would definitely be utilized regularly.
