The display of just a single Series statement is definitely a problem, but for a larger consortium like ours, a better solution would be to hide it entirely. While the single Series statement doesn't bother me much for an actual Series (e.g. Chronicles of Narnia), it is very misleading for publisher-based Series. For foreign titles where each publisher/series may have a different translation, it can also end up with the patron not getting the version they expected. I would rather not show the Series at all at the roll-up level, and instead include it in the individual edition details. Perhaps the best option is to give customers the option to set it to display non Series statement, the first Series statement, or all of the Series statements.
