Display ALL series
Vega only displays the first series tag (490, 800|t, 830) in a bibliographic record. There are many scenarios where a title may have multiple series tags for good reason. ALL series tags should display. A work may be titled the Boxcar children collection 3 and contain various volumes of the Boxcar children series, each tagged individually. To only display the first series tag (vol. 89) is misleading. There are also many instances of a popular numbered series also being part a publisher genre series (example for Iced by Felix Francis: Francis novels ; bk. 10 and Thorndike Press large print mystery series).

I'm not sure about the other commenters here, my library is part of a county wide cooperative. Different libraries in the co-op catalog series differently. Public facing records have all different manner of series hyperlinks. Using the Alex Cross by Patterson as an example, I'll see on the series hyperlink: "Alex Cross; bk. 12", "Alex Cross; 26", "An Alex Cross Novel", "Alex Cross Series", "Alex Cross Series; 20". This is a small sample of the series hyperlink confusion.
I rarely use the series hyperlink option on the catalog. I go to fantastic fiction or goodreads and use the information there to find series information or place holds for patrons who want books in a series.

This would be very important to us. We've been working on ways to make our series more accessible and only showing some series information will limit Vega's adoption for our organization.

Currently Vega displays the series information using the 490 field from the MARC record on certain titles which can cause confusion considering that the 800/830 fields can provide a better, more complete description for the series. For example, attached are screenshots from the PAC of two different versions of Spy Camp where one is the novel version and the other is the graphic novel, which is clear there. However, due to the 800/830 field not being used for the series in Vega, and the 490 field being the same for each (since the displayed series on both items is the same), both copies in Vega are listing the same series information (for the novel). It would be better if Vega used the 800/830 series info to account for instances where the series displayed on the item is the same, but the authorized version of the series is different.

Displaying all series of a book is important.
Use case patron: I'm looking for a book in the Tiffany Aching series by Terry Pratchett. There are four books in that series, but all four titles are ALSO part of the larger Discworld series. Knowing a title is part of a larger series can help me find other books I'd enjoy.
Use case staff member: Since I know only one series displays in Vega, I want to make sure I choose the right series. Currently, I have to delete a series to know which one will display. As a cataloger, I DEEPLY dislike altering records for display in a discovery layer. If I knew that Vega would always display the first listed 490 field, that would be helpful, but as it currently is, our workaround is to remove a series heading if there are two. Normally this isn't a problem if it's something like 'Thorndike junior large print series' but if the series statements are both relevant, staff are stuck making decisions they shouldn't have to make to fit into a discovery layer. -

There are so many instances of a title having multiple series. Our catalogers work especially hard to ensure that this information is included in our MARC records, as both our patrons and staff find it very important. We want to see that replicated for patrons in Vega Discover, just like it was in the PAC.

We'd very much like to see this happen - our CS team has been trying to work with records to ensure the series tag most likely to be searched is the first instance, but we would really like them all to display.

with so many libraries we see this quite a bit. would be beneficial to have, for sure.

Warriors (by "Erin Hunter"), for example. There are multiple sub series. For example, when I open up "Return to the Clans" which is Warriors - Tigerstar & Sasha #3, I then see "more in the series," but it's actually ALL the various Warriors titles. I should see More of the Tigerstar & Sasha series, then more Warriors series (separated). It would be a lot easier to figure out what to read next.
