We've had several patrons and staff inquire about this as a possibility and would like to see it happen. All current attempts at helping patrons with something like this leaves everyone feeling frustrated.
Additionally, it is critical to have this option as long as patron barcodes are tied to a patron's lists and bookmarks. If a patron changes their barcode, they lose everything. At least this way we could give them a copy of their lists so they could replicate them.

It is heartbreaking to share with a patron that they might have lost all of their curated lists - which involves a lot of time and effort - simply because they received a new library card. Please tie this to the Patron ID - not barcode number.

We have near weekly suggestions from patrons for a "digital library card." We'd love to see something like that in Vega Discover's Account Portal! Our patrons would be overjoyed at this possibility.
We are also not looking forward to fielding questions about the barcode image that isn't really a barcode, and would also like to see that removed - but hopefully replaced with a real, working barcode! :)

With the addition of being able to edit publication patterns, our staff were very interested in using Leap for Serials. However, this makes it impossible to do that work solely in Leap. It would end up taking far too much of their time. And even still, jumping between the Staff Client and Leap would also be too much time.
