An error occurred while saving the comment Connie Johnson commentedVery often, our customers don't return their items until they go from Overdue to Lost status. That is when a bill goes out and they see the replacement costs and their account is blocked and they cannot check out anymore items. This results in a lot of "Not Supplied" holds.
Secondly we have workflows that include marking items Missing, In Repair, etc. Item specific holds are often put on these items so that staff can check the item when it is returned before reshelving or using the item in a program. It is not a good workflow if the items don't pick up the hold when it is checked in.
We have cards that comes with a fee that are good only for a year and must be re-purchased if the customer wants to renew the card for another year. As mentioned in the original posting, staff are mistakenly setting these cards to a 3 year expiry date (that our regular cards use) instead of 1 year as required by our state.
