Not-Supplied status for Holds - change back to on hold if item becomes avaliable
When an item hold has the status of Not-Supplied, if this item then becomes available eg if a a lost item is returned, the not-supplied status doesn't automatically retrigger the hold.
Currently you have to go in and manually reactive the hold.

commentedThis is such a pervasive but under the radar problem that undermines people's trust in the library to fulfill their request.

commentedI was surprised to learn there was such a blip in status changes not triggering holds... we only noticed it with a recent spate of such 'not supplied' holds. I did not see anything in the IUG forum about this, so I'm glad to see some others have experienced it and are bringing awareness to it!

commentedVery often, our customers don't return their items until they go from Overdue to Lost status. That is when a bill goes out and they see the replacement costs and their account is blocked and they cannot check out anymore items. This results in a lot of "Not Supplied" holds. Secondly we have workflows that include marking items Missing, In Repair, etc. Item specific holds are often put on these items so that staff can check the item when it is returned before reshelving or using the item in a program. It is not a good workflow if the items don't pick up the hold when it is checked in.
