  1. Leap should force logout when browser/browser tab is closed. Forcing a logout at browser/browser tab close would ensure that any open editable records are closed out as well.

  2. When a patron's registered branch is updated via Leap but their existing patron code is not available at the new branch, Leap assigns the first patron code alphabetically by default. The Polaris client, by contrast, applies the default patron code for the new registered branch. Please follow the patron registration default patron code for that location in Leap, as happens today in the Polaris client.

  4. I'm guessing Leap being web-based makes this difficult to outright impossible but a warning sound effect for Leap's modal alerts would be nice.

    Something like:

    var audio = new Audio('audio_file.mp3');
    audio.play();

    Assuming alerts in leap use Bootstrap's modal function calling the audio function after the shown.bs.modal trigger fires might work.

  5. We teach staff that, except in very rare cases, they should always be placing bib level holds for customers but sometimes folks make mistakes. It would be great there was a check box option in Leap to convert a customer's item level hold to a bib level hold while retaining their position in the queue. Currently, if a staffer places an item level hold in error, to fix it, they have to place a new bib level hold and then use the checkbox and arrows in the queue to move them from last position (for example, 453) to their former…

  7. When staff are placing individual holds for a patron Leap and the Desktop client allow staff to use the pickup branch as the branch where the staff member is logged in*. For libraries with centralized call centers it would be helpful to offer to use the patron's preferred branch when placing the hold request for the patron.

    Of course, this will need to be cleared indicated to the staff member what their preferred location is as they should still verbally confirm that is the location they want to use.

  8. Polaris supports a preferred pickup branch for patrons. This request is to extend that support to allow the patron to set a preferred pickup area.

    Many patrons prefer to 100% always use a particular pickup area, for example outside lockers. So, they shouldn't have to select that area everytime they make a request.

    This would allow them to set their own preferred pickup area the way they can set a preferred pickup branch. This preferred pickup area should also be used when the staff bulk places a title on hold for a batch of patrons, again the same way the…

  9. It would be great to have a way in Leap to change the patron barcode and have it auto populate the "Former Barcode" field in a single step. Perhaps a button could be added underneath "Reset Password" for "Replace Barcode" that simply prompts the staff member to scan a new barcode number. Leap would then move the existing barcode to the "Former Barcode" field, and then populate the Barcode field will the newly provided number. Help us save a few steps! Thanks for the consideration.

  10. I would like to be able to have a particular hold become active after a different hold has become filled. This is particularly useful for customers who are engaged in a series and do not want them all at once, but do want them in order and want to place all the holds at the same time.

  12. Being a visual learner it is complicated to go from the icons in Polaris being a much larger size and being in color to what is shown in Leap. The icons in Leap are much smaller and have no color to differentiate them. For the sake of Accessibility purposes is there any way that the icons can be bigger and to add a pop of color to them in Leap. Attached are pictures of the icons in Polaris from the toolbar vs Leap.

  13. We had a front-line staff member contact us because he was getting a "The domain, username or password is incorrect" error message when he tried to log in to Leap. Support was able to tell us that he was locked out because he had incorrectly typed his password five times. They confirmed that the error message that will be shown when this happens is "The domain, username or password is incorrect." Not only is that error message text factually untrue, it is identical to the error message that a staff person sees if their password actually IS being entered incorrectly.…

  14. Library staff regularly have need to copy a customer's name from their Leap patron record into our room reservation system. Currently you cannot copy the name displayed in the leap patron record header but you can copy the barcode directly below. Clicking into registration isn't helpful as a copy option the name info is in separate fields.

  15. When checking out a material and the the patron has history turned on, a pop-up appears saying this patron had out this item with a date or a number of days ago, so the patron doesn't check it out and immediately return it, especially would be helpful with ILL requests.

  16. We currently run our lost and not paid reports under Patron Account > Patron Account List Reports in SimplyReports. Because shelf-location is not an output option, we manually enter it for each item in order for our shelvers to more easily complete shelf-checks. Can "shelf-location" be added as a report output option?

  17. LEAP - Outreach Services: When processing held items in Outreach Services, items for a patron will deselect after checking out. This requires staff to go back and reselect the desired items to print a packing list.

    The ability to turn packing lists on such that they print with CKO would be appreciated.

    A prompt to "print packing list?" during CKO would also work.

  18. Today I helped a customer who had three Lost (and billed) items on her account. The items were all designated as Deleted as well. She claimed that she had returned two of the three items through our Automated Materials Handler (AMH) some time ago. The items were set to lost in 2022. The third item she had and returned today. This item having been deleted shows up in Leap as a "no matching record" (NMR) item.   20. When we first go to the Outreach Services Manager, we see the full list of patrons for all delivery routes. We have the option to select a single delivery route and its associated patrons; however, there does not seem to be a way to return to the full list. Our current only option is to close the OSM and start again.

    It would be useful to have a "none" option at the top of the list, or to have the ability to deselect an item (without having to select another item).
