Leap Check Out Button Label Receipt and add Button to Close without Receipt
In Leap relabel the current submit Close button to Receipt. Add an additional button next to it called Close that that would close the record check out the material but would not generate a paper receipt print dialog box etc.
Idea Value
This would save paper for those libraries that have suppressed the print dialog box in their browsers for Leap and patrons that did not want a paper receipt.

MEEP candidate for the Polaris 8.3 release
Functional Requirements (what does it need to do?)
-Update the patron record workform in Leap into include a way to close the record even when there are check-out receipts queued for the patron
-Expected no check-out receipts will print
-Expected no eReceipts will send
-Expected the “Complete” button will remain with existing functionality -

If a patron wants an 'all items checked out list', we don't then need a current item printout upon closing their account. In fact, it would be nice to have to choose to make a receipt at all.
Currently Polaris prints out two different receipts - the all items (if chosen), and today's transaction

Options to save paper are a great idea!

I agree with Katie. Now that there is the direct to printer in Leap (with Polaris 8.0), staff have asked if there is a way to not print a checkout receipt if the customer doesn't want one. It seems a shame to print something that is then going to get thrown away immediately.

This would be huge now that we use the new receipt feature of auto selecting our receipt printer. When we do tasks like waiving fines or patron says they dont need check out receipt we used to get to decide if printing was necessary. Now it auto prints and we end up tossing the receipt.
Even if we get something in settings to not include waive receipts as part of fine receipts would be helpful on that front.

Current way is so frustrating and such a waste of time. There should be some indication of when a customer has asked for eReceipts so that we can close the record without having to ask or click a cancel receipt button.
