We often get questions from patrons when copies that other patrons have borrowed are to be returned. In Encore, they could see this as soon as they opened a resource. In Vega Discover, this is very hard to find (click two small arrows and ignore the multiple "details" buttons, one of which shows absolutely no relevant information for them - even harder on a mobile phone where you need to scroll to see the date).
Our suggestion is that the due date can be included in "Find a copy" for checked out items. Maybe this could be included in a larger "makeover" of "Find a copy", as we also would find this previous idea very useful for our patrons: https://ideas.iii.com/forums/951766-vega-discover/suggestions/48512717-add-shelf-location-to-find-a-copy-all-location-vie

Some of our patrons have pointed out that they feel uncomfortable with their home adress being "protected" by just a 4-digit PIN and are worried about dataleaks.
We would like that fields like the adress, e-mail adress and phone number should be anonymised in the account portal, ex. w******.l********@g****.c** instead of writing out the full e-mail adress. This way this data would be unusable if someone manages to access someone elses account.
It would also be good if libraries could decide to toggle on/off visibility for certain fields, in a similar way to how we can choose to make them editable or not.

This work was not done previously because it was deemed to be too much of a performance hog. In order to deliver a Saved Search showcase or 4 on a Full Title View we would need to run said searches and load the results within the view each time it was loaded.
We can see if there are new options to achieve this enhancement now if chosen by the MEEP group.

This is critical for us as a library with many authors where the spelling of catalogued author differs from the name on the book cover. Our patrons will have a hard time finding these materials.

In addition, we want "Find a copy" to always be there (not just when there are more than 6 copies).
