Creating a showcase from a record set ("ILS list") should dynamically pull titles from the current state of the record set
Right now, using the 'create from ILS list' feature to create a showcase from a record set creates a showcase with every record that is CURRENTLY in the record set. However, if records are later added or removed from the record set, they are not added/removed from the showcase. This means that the staff member often has to do the same work in two places.
If this change can't be made anytime soon, documentation should at least be updated to reflect that the 'create from ILS list' feature is taking a snapshot, not permanently linking a showcase to a record set. We are new customers and ended up having to ask our implementation team about this because we couldn't find that information anywhere in the help files, and our implementation team didn't even know--they just had to test it and see.

I think I would prefer that being optional. My fear is someone accidentally overwriting my list in the ILS, even if I "own" it (other "owners" seem to be able to overwrite in Sierra, even if using a different login). I'd rather just go in and resync when I update the list in Sierra. Of course, I am putting in regular tickets about my sync failing on existing lists (when previously working). I also wish the ILS list was sorted the same as the review file (different idea about that), as it doesn't seem to follow any sort of sorting rule.

Could an option within the showcase setup be to toggle whether this record set based showcase be automatically synced?
Maintain original record set [<toggle>] Automatically sync with current record setWhen we were with Sierra webpac/OPAC, we had to automatically update every Create List that was associated with our Recommended Reads list, which was cumbersome and time consuming.
Switching to the Vega Discover's ability to utilize Saved Searches and Saved Lists in showcases has been a significant workflow improvement. -

Agreed. Even though it would take more work behind the scenes to automate, the feature is not very useful for us if it requires someone with a Vega staff account to go and manually re-sync any changes.
