I definitely understand this request because Missing and Damage and, frankly, any kind of Item Maintenance is a pain. That said, we would want the owning branch set at the Library level - not System and not Branch. As we're part of a consortium, we find System gives too much access and Branch gives too little. The ideal would be to let each system choose between any of the levels for where to set this kind of thing.

We'd still like the ability to keep that notification off - though we understand why others might want either this type of notice or have a hold notice pop up based on location (ex. the notice appears when the hold is ready for pickup at the logged in location).

I can see the merit in this, but I wouldn't want each staff member to have to set this up for themselves - which is what a lot of settings in Leap currently require. I would want but this feature and the ability to "push" it to all relevant accounts or "associate" it with all the relevant accounts. In a consortium, this should be able to happen at the system, library, or branch level - not one-by-one.

Yes! Absolutely. Frankly, all settings in Leap should be things that can work at the library or system level. When you have as many staff members as we do (and we're not that large) it is unrealistic to ask staff to set things up themselves. They expect administrators to be able to push out necessary settings and changes to those settings.

Absolutely! Authorities needs a lot of work in Polaris (Leap or the Desktop Client). This one aspect of improvement but there are definitely others.
