An error occurred while saving the comment Roseanne Bromberg commentedThis would be so helpful in determining the actual popularity of an item. Since we turned on automatic renewals, it's hard to know whether an item that checked out 10 times in a year was checked out to 3 patrons or 10 patrons, which affects how many replacement copies or copies of future titles that I'm going to buy.

An error occurred while saving the comment Roseanne Bromberg commentedAdding this functionality would be life changing for my library system. As a 9 branch library that floats all youth materials, we spend countless hours each week manually rebalancing and shifting items across branches to alleviate pooled duplicate copies, which takes away from time and energy we could be using to address other collection management issues.

Either have a temporary shelving location or a "Display" circulation status would be such a great help to my library. Right now, staff check out items to a "Display" account, which is a terrible workflow. Either of the options mentioned in the comments would fix the problems we've had with using shelf locations for this purpose in the past and let us get away from our current process.
