Grace, if you can open a Support ticket with the old card and the new card, we can ask if they can manually move the registrations to the old card.
I think Jen's suggestion would also work in your case, where being able to update the barcode would re-link their bookings and registrations.

This feed option would be useful for other technology needs such as reservation panels outside event spaces that rely on a feed to present a schedule of events and reservations for a meeting space.

Yes, lots of clicking and opening of events for details. A suggestion... Maybe the statuses could be something like:
- "Fully Booked" when event bookings are full and there is no waitlist
- "Registration Closed" when event does not have full bookings or a full waiting list but a deadline has passed closing bookings/registration
- "Waitlist Available" when event is full, waiting list is enabled and available
- "Waitlist Full" when event bookings are full and no waiting list spaces remain
