We would like to have our Tech Logic Inventory Wand connect directly Leap to do a live inventory. Instead of uploading a file.
Right now we take our want out into the stacks and run it with the Tech Logic software on the laptop. Once we are done with the section we want to inventory, we then save and upload a document to Polaris or Simply Reports to update our materials with the new inventory date. It would be nice to have our Inventory Wand link directly to Leap and update the inventory date live in our system and cut out the middle step of saving and uploading the file.
5 votesWe are adding a PAPI endpoint to allow vendors to update the inventory date on items in Polaris 8.2.
TechLogic has already been in contact with me about connection to the API. There may be some work on their end needed to consume this endpoint, but the infrastructure to support this will be in Polaris with Polaris 8.2.

Link from POLI to INLI (Leap)
Direct links from a POLI to it's invoice line item would be helpful and match client functionality. Linking to an invoice that may have many line items requires more scrolling and double checking.

Leap: link from invoice line item to holds queue
The client has a direct link from the invoice line items to the holds queue. In Leap, getting to the queue requires going through the item (and sometimes bib).

Leap: links from funds
In the client, funds link directly to invoices, POs, POLIs, and other related records. Funds in Leap have very few links. Direct linking to working acq records facilitates tech services workflows.

Invoice links to POLIs
In the client, staff often use the link to individual purchase order line items, but this is not yet available in Leap. Because an invoice may have many linked POs, and POs may have many POLIs, it can be difficult to find the correct POLI without access to direct links.
Adding POLI links would reduce friction for tech services staff making the move to Leap.

Create item record from invoice line
We would like the ability to create an item record from an invoice line in Leap. This is especially useful when manually building invoices, and can be done in the staff client.

Item and Patron barcode printing
We would like the ability to print an item's barcode while in Leap. We have items that either require multiple barcodes for processing or items that have lost their barcode and it would be nice to print these directly from Leap to the printer of our choice.
Currently staff need to grab the barcode from Leap and then open a different software to print the barcode label.
This idea would also be nice if we can expand to a patron's barcode. Patrons come in and don't have their card for that visit but need it to access the computer. Rather…

LEAP POLI linking needed
POLI does not link to the supplier record. Bibliographic record does not link to POLI or invoice line item unlike in the Client.
Add functionality in LEAP to not only link from Bib to PO or Invoice but also link to line item.

The ability to check in multiple issues in Leap Serials
In Leap Serials, the ability to select multiple issues and then click check in is needed for large libraries to use Leap Serials, exclusively. The workflow of selecting each individual issue and then clicking check in is slow and tedious.

Add a link for the serials holding record to serial bib records (in Leap)
Please add a link for the serials holding record to the bib record for serials, either under the Links menu or by displaying the serials record ID. Because the search box in Leap only retrieves bib records, often staff forget that they are looking at the bib record for a serial and so they have to perform a new search using the Find tool to get to the holding record. The only workaround I've found is to click on one of the items and then click the issue record ID, as on that workform the serials holding record ID displays…
