As we continue with the relaunch of SearchOhio & OhioLINK on the new Rapido resource sharing tool & updated Vega discovery layer, we've come to understand that it's not currently possible to see the real time availability of a searched for item in the Vega catalog.

While possible to see real-time-availability in Rapido, access to which is limited to very few staff at each of the partner libraries, it is not currently possible in Vega, because RTA for every library can't currently be sent to the requesting page.

Making this available would be invaluable for those patrons who might see that an item they want is not available in their home library system, but is available in one the next county over. In many cases, it's easier for them to drive & get the item themselves than it is to wait for the item to be paged & shipped to their library via SearchOhio/OhioLINK.
