Vega Discover Preview needs to be a functional copy of our existing PAC to allow for discussion and implementation of new features, functionality, etc. While ideally the site would connect to our ILS, we at least need to be able to recreate customer account information such as items checked out, holds, fines and fees, etc. In the next release, there are changes to the fines and fee layout, which we cannot preview because we cannot add fees to the fake accounts. Further, we cannot test 3rd party connections or plan ahead on most features. We need to be able to see and test all parts of the PAC in Preview to make informed decisions on which features to activate and how to inform customers and staff of changes.
