Mobile App Username
Would it be possible to have the ability to use created usernames in Vega Mobile to sign into our account similar to the PAC and Vega Discover. This would make signing into the mobile app a lot more convenient considering that patrons would no longer need to to type in their full patron barcode.

Currently when a patron logs into the mobile app, that function is performed via SIP authentication. We would like to see that function performed via API. For Polaris, that would mean patrons would be able to login with their Username instead of barcode; like they are able to in Vega Discover. API is more secure than SIP communication and is easier for System Administrators to manage.

Being able to login using Username would give the users the same experience no matter what interface they are using. Currently they are able to log into their account in Vega Discover using either Barcode or Username. Not being able to access their mobile account the same way is a barrier for patrons.
