We recently added RFID-enabled book drops that automatically check in returned materials. They are great, except that if a returned item traps a hold on a day the library is closed, a hold notice is generated and sent to a patron who is then not able to come in and pick up their item. It would be great if we could set 'holiday' dates in LX Starter, and LX Starter could send any queued notices the following day instead.

There are other approaches to this problem, but since at least in Polaris item status changes are sometimes tied to notices processing happening, I wouldn't want to NOT run notices at all on a closed date (ex. long overdue items would not go to billed in that case). It would be safer if the notices were generated as normal, but delivered on a delayed schedule.
