We are dealing with this issue right now and will for the next few years as we build 4 new libraries. We have to close libraries, move holds to other libraries in the system during closure, then back when the new library opens. Besides putting banner messages like "If your hold pickup is ***, please pickup your hold at ***. These messages are often overlooked, and are unhelpful the last week or so of the closing. Having the ability to mass update trapped holds BEFORE the notices are triggered would be awesome.

I agree with all of the points Jeremy makes and more. We allow customers to self-register and we also have over 300 staff members that create customer records manually. One simple typo in the address fields can throw off the entire address and make it unusable both searching within Sierra, as well as sharing this data with 3rd party applications who can't parse our data because of the errors in the format.

We recently started using NCIP for ILL lending with OCLC. It is not documented anywhere that NCIP is not compatable with SIP2, and so we had so many issues with items never deleting that we finally figured it out. This is a huge problem for us. We are 24 branches, and have trained our customers for years to check out and check in at our selfchecks. We now have to keep all ILL items behind the desk, when with INN-Reach customers knew they could use the self checks. Making this change is frustrating and time consuming. We have the rfid tags in the items, and checkout does not appear to be a problem, it is just checkin. We need this enhancement as soon as possible for our customer service.

In addition to this, our branch accounts are context accounts, and the override button does not appear for staff logged in on the branch account. We don't want to give the branch accounts the permission for all circ functions, we want to continue using individual override accounts for all process so we have a granular audit log. We also don't want to give the individual accounts access to any workflows as that could get confusing, they are simply for paying or waiving fines. Having the override button appear when logged in as a context user, and allowing staff to sign in with the account with the override permissions like it works for waiving fines would be ideal. The wording is also not helpful and very confusing, as well as the fact it pops up even if the staff member does not want to access the fines tab which, when combined with the confusing wording has caused all kinds of questions.
