Today I'm seeing a title that has just one order attached (no other attached records) but the order status is 'on order' and it still has no Place Hold button. This issue seems to only apply to some bibs with attached orders which makes it extra confusing.

What our system is seeing is that any bib with just one order (on order status) won't have the REQUEST button. If we add another attached order record, then the button appears. I have a case open with Innovative. Perhaps this is a setting that can be adjusted.

When AACP (automatic authority control processing) is turned on and authority records are uploaded with changes, sometimes bib records in Sierra do not get automatically updated. There may be an entry in the Updated Bibliographic Headings report but the bib or bibs themselves need to be manually edited by staff.
A small amount of Sierra development could fix this to save staff time.
For example, when a series heading in a bib gets changed from 830 to 800, Sierra does not insert the first indicator of 1 in the 800 field even though the referencing authority record has that indicator. We would love to see a bit more work for AACP. -

I'm not sure if it's appropriate here but when staff are in the edit mode of an item, it would be great if the Patron View Actions > Circ History of the set item included a column with the loan rule number. So staff could see without an SQL query if an old or new loan rule got applied. This is helpful when libraries go fines free and have items out on older rules with fines.

Our library system investigated using the ILL module but we have one member library that centrally manages all of the ILL requests for other members. When the ILL is fulfilled, it then needs to go in transit to another branch, who will then check it in and at THAT time the patron gets notified the hold is ready for pickup. Without this in transit slip, we can't use the full ILL module.
