When sending a test email from the design space in LX Starter, the user is required to enter item Record ID(s). The form accepts item records only if the check digit is removed. It would be preferred to have the item record entered as it is shown to staff in the record or by using a barcode. Currently the form offeres no instruction to drop the last digit. Not all library staff would know about check digits or think to remove it. The form should not require manipulation for entry. With the patron ID at least the option for barcode is also there.
