An error occurred while saving the comment Laurie Shedrick commentedIn our scenario the intent for limiting physical items is different than the intent of limiting digital, and so the two should be discrete. Wherever limts and how the limits are imposed, the patron should have that information at hand to understand what resources they would prioritize.

An error occurred while saving the comment Laurie Shedrick commentedThe courtesy note is an example of why we need this so critically in a consortia. Sierra is not designed to send notices from the "check out" location, the notices for the most part are tied to the owning location. A patron who exists in a consortia does not necessarily know of the other libraries within a consortia, particularly if it is a geographically large consortia. Hold requests are fulfilled by owning locations across the consortia. Therefore, we send courtesy notices from the central system to all patrons to avoid the patron experience of being notified, as a courtesy, by libraries they have not used. Without this feature, patrons would recieve multiple notices from any library whose item they may have checked out at their home library. Very messy.

An error occurred while saving the comment Laurie Shedrick commentedI get more complaints about this than anything else. I know I have commented before, but patrons are frustrated that they cannot find details about an edition, like contributors or the subjects and genres.
An error occurred while saving the comment Laurie Shedrick commentedWe are hearing more and more that patrons miss the valuable content included in our bibligraphic records. I think we do a disservice and underestimate patrons to think they mostly aren't using this so it is irrellevant. If the specifics matter, like the actor in a film, or the title in an anthology, the user expects that our records, which have always carried this level of detail, to be a resource.
The record should expand to meet this moment - it doesnt need to be viewable, within the summary or edition view, but a "read more" should be available to expand the view to reveal the full content of the Record.

An error occurred while saving the comment Laurie Shedrick commentedYes, Please - It would be great to have the ability to produce multiple drafts of notices. Having a publish and expire date for these would allow staff to build ahead versions that align with upcoming program events or seasonal elements.

An exact match in the title, regardless of subtitle, should land the work in the highest relevancy.
