The current search bar design could use some improvements to make it more adaptable and easier to work with. Right now, the search field and dropdown sizes can’t be customized easily, which makes it hard to fit the design of different sites. The dropdown options are often hidden and not readable without opening the menu. Ideally, we’d have one responsive search bar that works well across all screen sizes. Having to use separate versions for different screen sizes adds extra work and complicates the design process.
