  1. I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile for the sake of a better distinction between the two to rename Vega Mobile Worklists as Vega Worklists?

I've noticed this at IUG & elsewhere, where discussions of the staff facing app & patron facing app are sometimes paired together & sometimes not. Sometimes under the same "Vega Mobile" umbrella & sometime not.

It's a minor source of confusion, but since we're only using one of the two products, it would be nice to see a better distinction.

This is the Vega version of the Mobile Worklists staff application. The name is a result of moving Mobile Worklists into the Vega product suite prior to building out support for Polaris libraries.

  2. We currently have staff at a number of branches testing Mobile Worklists. More than one location has requested the ability for users to increase font sizes for displayed characters in title paging lists & elsewhere throughout the app. Hopefully this could be tied to their login, so settings are not constantly in need of a reset between users of shared devices.

  3. One of the best features within Mobile worklists is the ability to easily edit item records from a mobile device. However, this feature ignores the scoping feature in the Sierra client that prevents one location within a consortia from make edits to items belonging to a different location. Due to this, we are unable to provide access to this feature to our members.

Mobile worklists should follow the same permission limits as the client and enforce scoped item editing.

  4. We've begun testing the current version of Mobile Worklists at a handful of branches. While it can clearly speed up the process of holds management by trapping items pulled from the shelves or updating the status of those items not found to missing, a second check-in is required to generate a hold or transit slip, creating an extra step for staff.

We'd like slips to print to a networked printer as items are checked in via the app.
