Maybe there is the option to update blocks used in all templates or not? Just in case you didn't want the block updated on one notice but did so on the others?

Yes, we've had some staff accidentally delete a notice job.

Ideally this could also apply in cases where we have separate bibs for a specific title (different editions, etc.) and all bibs/titles have holds. Staff and patrons end up putting title-level holds on all bibs, because it's a **** shoot which one will get triggered first. Patrons don't remember to cancel the holds on the other copies (and staff have no way of knowing they have holds on other bibs), so then a hold is triggered, item put on the shelf and then languishes until the holdshelf is cleared. It would be great if when you check out a title, if Sierra could detect you have a hold on another edition with the same title/author and ask if you want to cancel those holds.

My mom's library system, which uses Sirsi, allows for this and I really like being able to exclude specific formats.

I would like to know how the links perform (number of people who viewed/clicked) by date. We switch out the links in the notices or might move the placement. How will I know if we have more people clicking on the link (i.e., better placement) if I can't narrow down by date?

Just had a patron ask how she can opt in to her reading history via the mobile app; does not use our website/catalog/Vega. Had to direct her to use a different method (Vega/catalog) than she prefers just to opt in to track her reading history.

In the meantime, you can update the translation file, specifically:
"searchHintsTitle"
"useExactPhraseHint"
"checkYourSpellingHint"
"@ReduceNumberOfKeywordsHint"
"searchByDifferentIndexHint"

We would like this to be the case if Kanopy records can be ingested. They have a lot of materials we don't want in the collection, but if we could limit to what we have purchased physically (DVDs) and/or the top 100 or something like that (or block categories like "erotic," for example), we would be more apt to use it.

If you could print spine labels from a review file, that would make life so much easier. We do random recataloging projects which require materials to get a new spine label w/new call number. If you could put them in a review file and then under Tools opt to print/queue spine labels for all of them, it would save a lot of time.

I just had an in-depth conversation about this with one of our library volunteers. She came by to tell me she really doesn't like Vega, prefers the Classic Catalog. When I asked why, it was specifically because she wants to exclude titles she's already read from her search results, particularly because she reads so many series (ex. Michael Connely). So she always goes to the Classic instead of Vega and gets frustrated because all we promote is Vega (links, showcases, etc.), and she keeps getting pushed there. If we could add this functionality in Vega (which many patrons are used to using in the Classic), I'm sure she'd be a convert.
