With multiple records rolling up, sometimes the default cover art image isn't necessarily the most appropriate (i.e. showing a very specific version of Hamlet that not all libraries own rather than a more generic version). Since Vega is pulling the cover art from the record with the most recent copyright/publishing date, the only way to prevent an image from populating is to falsify the 020 in the most recent record (I've been in touch with Syndetics about this). It would be nice if there was a way that libraries could a) manually select a different image if needed, b) remove the image completely from a specific title without compromising the MARC record, or c) add a generic image with just the title (no art). This doesn't come up all the time (most of the time the default image is fine) but the lack of control makes fixing issues nearly impossible.
