It would be great to have this message display ONLY if there is an attempt to process a payment. Most regular tasks can be completed within a patron account without clearing the Fines Payment lock and it adds confusion and frustration for staff when this message pops up (repeatedly if you close it without clearing it and proceed to view the patron record). It is great that staff can see this information and have the option to clear the block IF they are attempting to complete a process that would be blocked by it. Otherwise, it isn't helpful as a pop up.

It would also be great to have an option to resend on demand.

We need an LX Starter Role with the ability to create and edit Blocks of content without the ability to update the notices themselves. Because Marketing staff are responsible for the creation of content, but they are not familiar with the particulars of the ILS and Lending Services, we want them to be able to create blocks of content directly in the LX Starter admin, which an admin user can then add to our notice templates. We want them to be able to play around with the design of their elements directly, rather than having an admin do this and send them multiple drafts, tweaking formatting. We do not want them to have the ability to edit the core elements of the notices (ie. the required fields and repeated elements that are pulled from the patron record) or to edit the schedule for notice delivery.
Another way to approach this could be to add the ability for an admin to "protect" certain elements within the notice template so that a user with a lesser role could have the ability to add and remove some content blocks but have no ability to edit the sections determined to be core to the notice template. This would be an ideal solution since it would give staff creating variable content the ability to do this directly without worry of them impacting essential notice elements.

Yes! Please add the ability to format the field based on the value for Renewed or Not Renewed!
Right now we have this formatted in green to make it stand out from the other text but it would be much clearer if we could use green for renewed and red for not.

This would be an important improvement to customer service, particularly since the account expiration isn't highlighted prominently in Vega Discover.
I know the ability to customize notices by PTYPE is not yet available, but that might be particularly useful for a renewal journey notice since there may be different renewal requirements/processes which would ideally have different messaging associated.
Currently we have a complicated procedure for refunds where we add a new Charge for the refund amount. In the Reason field we enter details as follows:
“Refund given, item barcode #, pr (for patron returned) or fos (for found on shelf), as much of the title as there is room for, initials/location”. (E.g. “Refund given 22104024859813 pr Flappy Waggy Wiggly dk/sh.) The charge must then be waived to remove it from the patron’s list of fines owing. This allows us to create a record of the refund having been given in Fines Paid.
This creates a more accurate history and prevents a patron from receiving a refund for the same item more than once.
It would be very helpful to have a better built-in process for this. It would also be nice if Refunding an item would clear up item notes related to Billing.
