An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Miller commentedWe have tried all of the Polaris layouts. The layout we prefer provides the date in full format, such as Wednesday, September 22, 2024. The receipt clips after the first day digit, such as "Wednesday, September 2". This is primarily a problem on Wednesdays during September. Other months are just short enough to allow both day digits, so we still use this layout. We would prefer 09/22/2024 to full words. Thanks!

In addition to the required Notification Option, we would like to require the Email Address and Phone 1 regardless of which notification option(s) are selected.
Also, there are free or inexpensive phone carrier lookup service APIs. Instead of staff selecting a carrier from the drop-down list next to the phone number, the Polaris software should do a quick lookup of the carrier before appending the carrier's email domain to the text email. The carrier lookups could be an overnight job so as not to slow down notification jobs. Patrons will give us their correct carrier upon creating their library card. They often forget to notify us their change of carrier service provider. When patrons report not receiving notifications, then hopefully our staff remember to ask the patron if there was a change of carrier service. Heck, I forgot when I changed my own service provider and I'm in patron records daily.
