Add Sort by Author for Bookmarks and Lists in patron accounts
Add Sort by Author Ascending/Descending options to Bookmarks and Lists in patron accounts.
Along with Title and Date Added, this is an option in WebPAC that patrons are used to having. It also makes sense to have consistent view/sort behavior across the catalog. So, since patrons are/will be able to sort search results, checkouts, holds, and reading history by author, they should be able to do the same with other lists, as well.

Hi, Angela. Thank you for the follow-up. While the ability to search Bookmarks by Author would definitely be a nice additional feature, it is not the same as just being able to sort an entire list of saved titles, be they Bookmarks or other lists, by Author. Searching and sorting are different use cases. Patrons may just want to see how many or which titles they have saved by each author in their bookmarks and lists without necessarily wanting to look at only a specific author whose name they may or may not remember or know how to spell.
For instance, if a patron decides their single catch-all To-Be-Read list has gotten too unweildy, they may want to break it out into multiple lists based on author. If they can sort by Author and see which and how many titles they’ve saved for each author, they can then easily create new lists for those authors with the most entries, move the relevant titles to the new lists, and better manage/organize their future reading plan.
Also, consistency in the user interface is very important for patron acceptance of and comfort with the new platform. If patrons can, eventually, sort all of the other lists (results, holds, checkouts, history) by Author, they should be able to do the same with their saved lists.
