Account Portal - Address edit text entry
The update to the account portal for City/State/Postalcode being text entry allows patrons to make these entries anything. These create new entries in the the Postalcode table, making it very messy (Made up cities/states/postcodes or incorrectly spelt, ect). These new entries then show from the drop down when patrons join online compounding the issue if new patrons choose the incorrect one. Example from our system using the State: NSW not the full text state New South Wales. Someone has created a New South Wales entry and other patrons have joined selecting it.

Sad to see so few votes on this! We're hesitant to implement patron registration for this very reason - it bogs down in-person registration significantly, and we could see it exponentially turning into an issue when we collect statistics and reports on patrons via address fields (to say nothing of the number of variants on the name of the town: Bimingham, Birrmingham, Biriminam, etc., etc.)

This is one of many reasons we ended up turning off the ability for patrons to edit their own addresses. The feature as it is set up now is un-usable.
