The managing cookie prompt needs to change ASAP. There are 2 main issues with the current prompt: 1) The entire screen is grayed out until you acknowledge the cookie prompt (something I know others have posted about) which means patrons and even staff who don't realize you need to x out of it or manage your preference get confused about why nothing is working. 2) It doesn't save your preference at all so if you close the tab/window or even log into an account you get the same cookie prompt again and again, something other sites don't do, which seems like a glitch.

The solutions I'm proposing are below:
1) Disable where the cookie prompt grays out the entire screen. Other websites allow you to still use their site even without doing anything with the cookie prompt.
2) Have the initial manage your cookies prompt be accompanied by buttons to allow people to either disable all cookies, allow essential cookies only, or allow all cookies. Again, this is something other sites have and is much more user-friendly.
3) The site should remember your preferences. It makes no sense that you are constantly getting that prompt after having acknowledged it. It's both annoying and a barrier to access.
