With the new app layout, the "Homescreen button" colors in the CMS now affect three different types of buttons: (1) the item alert buttons (overdue, due soon, ready for pickup), (2) the barcode and mobile checkout buttons, as well as (3) the main menu buttons.

It would be nice if these were three separate settings, so you could choose different treatments for each of these three button types.

For instance, since the overdue alert button gets the "Notice button" colors from the CMS, it would make sense for the other alert buttons to also have a (neutral) background color to match, and to set them off as a distinct region on the screen. But you might not want to add that same background color--or any background color--to the large menu buttons. You might also want to set different colors for the barcode and mobile checkout buttons to set them off as a distinct region, as well.
