This is important to customers that want to manage their holds without relying on staff to add a "not need before" date. I just wonder if this has been reported to Innovative as a bug? If this is the intended behaviour, then we agree that when a hold is modified, it should show up on the paging queue as expected.

This is a very important feature for our homebound customers, shut-in borrowers, and those staff/users that help these customers. If someone has the permission to place holds for another user, they also need to know if title is currently checked out to that patron, borrowed in the past, or is already on hold for that customer.
Users that need others to help manage their holds depend on this. There are some homebound features in Sierra, but we have 3rd party agencies that will only use the catalogue to place holds. We have customers that see this functionality in Libby (Overdrive) and want to see the same functionality in Vega Discover.

Agreed. This is important for customers that heavily use lists. Libraries may need the option to suppress those "Resource not available" if the title is not available.

I am not sure why this is Idea Exchange issue. Innovative Support noted that:
"This is not in Known Issues, because it cannot be resolved as a bug. This is a documented system limit and would require design and development to resolve".
Is it common for a user group to vote on this type of technical issue? If so, does the IUG need to develop a work around (like a fixed field called active/expired?)
