The above explanations and enhancement requests are comparing the Polaris Client with Leap. Since Client is being phased away. It is very important for the LEAP to be at par with the client.

The first idea improve customer service by making available an item to the patron faster.
The second idea of giving the pickup library 24 hours to fill the hold with an item which is on their shelf or in-transit, makes the item available to the patron faster and also reduces the number of items traveling from another item owning library to pickup library. It could fill a hold at some other library making the system more efficient and providing better service to the patrons.
